| Just on transporting the bikes back to Perth. The best price I can get is $200 per bike, without any crating or protection. If the bikes need to be crated the price could go up as high as $300 per bike. The company is Kimberley Freightliners Ph 08 9353 3778, manager is Peter Ford, or Domingo. Booking is not needed, ie 2 weeks in advance is enough. They depart from Darwin every Wednesday. Other (furniture) removal companies are willing to backload them, if there is a truck coming down and room and if there is room. Firm prices could not be given. Other freight companies, all require crating are boxing, prices quoted are all around $600 to $800. I have asked Yamaha Australia if they would have crates available (ie. to keep 3 crates from new bikes in Darwin). I then I got in contact with the Darwin Yamaha dealer with the above request. | 1. | Daily rate for vehicle is $76 with 150 km per day ie for 5 weeks that would be $2660 and an allowance for 5250 Km. |
| 2. | To retrieve the vehicle cost $500 plus one weeks hire (at a lower
km rate.+$532=$1032 Total rpice would be $3692 plus government tax of 1.8%(+66.46=$3758.46) |
| 3. | Seven weeks hire and 10,000Km (for the return trip) would be $4386.50 plus 1.8%=$78.96. |
| 4. | Motorcycles can be loaded on tray but at own risk (can not be insured by them). |
| 5. | Tray is 2.4x1.8 metres. |
| 6. | Steel framed canvas canopy is availble at no extra cost. |

first $2000 is to be paid by the hirer. This access can be reduced to $1000 for additional fee of $10 per day. In case of accident of single vehicle (ie tree, animal, rollover) the excess is $4000. |
